Five X-rated movies that were banned in China - if you have the luck to have seen all of them, you are quite fortunate.

1. ";The White Violin";

Rating: 7.5

Starring: Aaron Kwok, Chun-chun Chang, Zhi Bai

Movie Review: The title of the movie is quite clever, as it uses the perspective of an old policeman to uncover the hidden story behind a murder case. The movie starts with ";searching for plum blossoms"; and then ";stepping on blood,"; which is the opposite order, and intertwines many flashbacks, which can be confusing but is organized in a way that keeps the viewer engaged. The overall tone of the movie is dark and sad, and the director successfully conveys the loneliness and hardships of ordinary people through the experiences of Ah-Zhuang, Fat Ting, and Jia-Mei. The cinematography was also impressive, making a non-expert like me feel like I had been struck by a visual splendor. PS: If possible, see the director';s cut, which is longer by several minutes than the theatrical version. 2. ";Into the Dust";

Rating: 8.4

Starring: Wu Renlin / Hao Qing / Yang Guangrui

Movie Review: Art originates from life, and I believe that films like this, which are true to life, are epic. There are no exaggerated embellishments, no noisy attempts to attract attention, and no flashy promotion and packaging for the sake of drawing attention. The film tells the touching story of Ma Youtie (Old Four), a silent, hardworking, and kind farmer in northwest China, and his wife Guying (Hao Qing), who has a disability. Besides Hao Qing, the rest of the cast are non-professional actors, including the male lead Youtie, who is a real farmer. This film is not only touching, but can even be described as tragic, but it occasionally shines with tiny rays of light that touch the heart. And yet, such a film was taken off the air and banned, which is a shame! Five X-rated movies that were banned in China - if you have the luck to have seen all of them, you are quite fortunate.

3, ";Shinjuku Incident";

Rating: 7.6

Starring: Jackie Chan / Naoto Takenaka /吴彦祖

Movie Review: Eric Tsang keeps up his usual standard, never letting you frown at the quality of his films. And Shinjuku Incident, in a nutshell, is a struggle of Chinese people from all over the world in the Japanese nation, and a struggle between humanity and desire on a grand scale. Choosing to set the location in Shinjuku Kabuki-cho, a world of mixed characters, drunken revelry, and materialism, provides a perfectly reasonable excuse for the outbreak of all humanity';s original desires. Overall, it';s a good film, but it made me feel very depressed. I need to find a Jackie Chan comedy to cheer me up and relieve my depression. Finally, I hope Hong Kong films can really get back on their feet and win more international awards, not just one Li An! 4. ";Chinese Agent Ling Ling Qi";

Rating: 8.5

Starring: Stephen Chow, Yuen Ying, Law Kar-ying

Movie Review: I watched it once when I was very young and thought it was hilarious, creative, and amazing. I watched it at a video rental store, and although there were some satirical elements and certain factors, I thought it was even more amazing after watching it again 30 years later. The film has a sense of integrating absurd elements. The main plot is clear, the metaphors are bold, the plot is imaginative, and the lighting and shadow are beautiful. The character design and presentation method in the opening scene are very interesting, which enhances the mystery of the protagonist';s profession and forms a strong contrast with the various goofy elements during the mission, which is probably the charm of comedy. Therefore, I strongly recommend that everyone watch it as soon as possible! Five X-rated movies that were banned in China - if you have the luck to have seen all of them, you are quite fortunate.

5. ";Coal Mine Blind";

Score: 8.9

Starring: Wang Shuangbao, Wang Baoqiang, Li Yixiang

Movie Review: Li Yang, I believe that most of my peers are not very familiar with this director. He is not very prolific, and after searching, it seems that his high-quality films are only ";Blind Mountain"; and ";Coal Mine Blind."; The entire film is gray and gloomy, with gray coal mines, gray miners, and even a gray sky. I can';t hate Tang Song enough, they kill people not for their own extravagance, but for their children';s education, so if your child needs to go to school, someone else';s father has to die? Anyway, it';s a great movie, with no flashy performances, and the director seems like the quiet and studious kid in class, who sincerely makes his own movies.
